I want the longest lashes you have- Is this possible for me?

Updated: Aug 28, 2020

The answer is simple: Depends who you go to.

No questions asked lash extensions are available. But is this the best option for you?

There's so many lash technicians offering various lengths and densities and sometimes we see a lash set and say "I want my lashes to look exactly like that". We have to keep in mind that lash extensions are not a "one size fits all" and the length or density which suits someone else, might not be right for you.

Here's the main reason why:

Your natural lash health determines the maximum length of extensions possible for you.

We've all seen some of the amazing, crazy long lash extension sets which are popular on Instagram and other social media channels. Wearing extensions which are too long for your natural lashes can lead to premature lash shed and uncomfortable lashes which can droop into your vision as they grow out. Why is this?

We can see how the 15mm extension ends up doing two things as it grows out:

1.Droops into vision, sometimes twisting along the way.

2.Weighs down the lash. This extra weight will eventually cause it to fall out sooner than it should have.

Prolonged wear of extensions not suited for your eyes can damage your natural lashes because they shed before they're supposed to! This increased shedding can potentially lead to sparser lashes and leave you wondering whats going on.

As a rule of thumb, I don't apply anything longer than 4mm compared to your natural lashes. This ensures you lashes stay healthy, especially if you wear extensions for an extended period of time.

Can you see the difference? Of course not! Because her extensions were made to suit her natural lashes.

So how can you protect the integrity of your natural lashes?

Pick the right lash tech! No matter who does your lashes, the right lash technician will never recommend something which wouldn't suit you natural lash health. Sometimes that means that the sky high lashes you'd like will not be the best options for you and the right lash tech will tell you this. No questions asked, "longest lashes you have" service is something you should be cautious of. After all, would you like lash extensions if they make it hard to see and fall out way too soon?

Let me know what you think!
